• Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls

Where do I begin… the quickest way to my heart is with a cinnamon roll. Some of my fondest memories as a child, teen, young adult and now even a so-called “adult” are those mornings with fresh cinnamon rolls. There is nothing like something warm and gooey to start off your day.

  • Spiced Baklava

Baklava is one of those things we have always enjoyed, but had never made at home. We always thought it was way too complicated to attempt, and left it to the professionals (in this case by “professionals,” we mean any Greek Grandmother).

  • Blueberry Banana Bread

I’ve been eating banana bread my whole life. Ari and I got our go-to recipe from our Mom. It”s simple, fast, and always delish! Now, don”t get mad. this recipe is not our mothers. Let the sighs and huge let-down noises ensue.

  • Strawberry Cake

This simple yet elegant strawberry cake will fill the house with the intoxicating smell of strawberries. We came across this recipe and to be honest just fell in love with the way it looked. In addition, strawberries are in abundance on the grocery store shelves right now so it was a no-brainer.

  • Banana Bread Pudding – Challah!

Nothing says winter comfort food like bread pudding, and when you make it with an awesome bread like Challah, it’s simply irresistible! At first this baking endeavor was solely to meet a craving on a snowy weekend, but after being disappointed with all of the recipes we found, we decided we should make our own.

  • Hot Chocolate Cupcakes

With the weather here in New England finally deciding to gift us with 3 feet of snow, what is more comforting than hot chocolate? Here at B2tF Homemade Hot Chocolate, while being a fav, doesn’t quite quench the need for a fresh baked good. If you search the internet you will get plenty of recipes(…)

  • Fudgy Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

Sour Cream imparts a slight tangy flavor to this smooth fudgy chocolate frosting. We used this frosting on our Hot Chocolate Cupcakes.

Here at B2tF Homemade Hot Chocolate, while being a fav, doesn’t quite quench the need for a fresh baked good. If you search the internet you will get plenty of recipes that are called a “hot chocolate cupcake” and all of them look great, but they didn’t quite live up to the B2tF standard. So this got us thinking, how would we translate this classic drink into a cupcake form?

Spiced Hot Chocolate

This homemade hot chocolate is rich and creamy, and the nutmeg and cinnamon add an exciting kick to this childhood classic. We recently tried our hand at homemade marshmallows (recipe from Smitten Kitchen) that can be described as sweet vanilla marshmallow heaven. They added a great marshmallow froth to the hot chocolate; no need for whipped cream. If you are on a hot chocolate marshmallow kick, check out our Hot Chocolate Cupcakes!
